President Bush Gives Greensburg Seniors a Send-Off
What a way to end your high school years then to have the President of the United States actually attend your Graduation and then he actually gives the speech. That’s what happened over the weekend in Greensburg, Kansas where a town that was totally destroyed just a year ago by a tornado.
This was the first graduation since the town was devastated last year but still able to pull it together and teach their children.
“I ask every member of the class to devote your lives to a cause greater than yourselves. You can never predict what tomorrow will bring… you can be certain that serving others will always make your life more fulfilled.”
This wasn’t his only speech either, he heard that one of the seniors was joining the Marine Corps, AaronWidner and he applauded him for his bravery. “I wish you the best at boot camp, and I look forward to serving as your commander in chief.
In all there were 18 teenagers that graduated this past Sunday and boy will they have some stories to tell about this past year for a long time. Congratulations!
