Kansas City Weekend News
While everyone was gearing up for the big game, there was quite a bit of action going on in Kansas City. Here is some blurbs of a few things you may have missed as the Giants won the Super Bowl.
Man Found Dead on Street- Around 8 pm Saturday, police found the body of what they believe to be a 40 year old male dead. No clue on how he died yet, however he was found between East 40th Street and Washington Avenue. An autopsy will be performed to figure out the exact cause of death.
Accidents Galore- Over the weekend there were several accidents. I’ll try to update on this as I find out more info, one dealt with a blue vehicle on the side of the road, they believed the driver to be in a paralyzed condition.
Teen Killed During Shooting- Saturday a teen, Jesse Garcia, died when a green explorer came up and opened fired near East 16th Street and Topping Avenue.
Smoke in Cockpit causes Emergency Landing (today)- Smoke inside the cockpit of a Boing 787 ended up making it have an emergency landing in Kansas City early this morning. The craft was coming from Washington.
Bush left Kansas City-But not before spending some quality time with some children making crafts at the Hallmark Center.
Amber Alert for Missing Kansas City boy- (he’s been found) Mother and half sister found shot to death in their home, missing 3 year old boy. Last seen in Texas, however he has now been found and no longer missing.
2 Year old Lives after 2 story fall- A 2 year old little girl was pushing against her bedroom window and fell out. The window was on the 2nd story of the house. She landed on a pile of leaves and rocks, thankfully she will fully recover and only had scrapes and bruises.
