Kansas City Jayhawks Win Championship

by

950697_basketball_3.jpgWoo hoo! The crowd went wild when the buzzer rang and Kansas City Jayhawks won the Championship against Memphis last night. For a moment it looked as if Memphis would win when they got to do 5 free throws, however they only made 1. The final score of the night, 75-68.

Chalmers would make the shot that would tie up the two teams and one of which will go down in Kansas Basketball history as there was only 2 seconds left of the game as he shot the ball into the air. Swoosh! The ball made it!

For those that don’t know, KU will be closed for today so they can properly welcome home the Champions. For those that want to be at the celebration, the buses are due back at 3 p.m. at the Kivisto Field at Memorial Stadium. But you can begin arriving at 1:30p.m.

Congratulations to the Jayhawks, you played GREAT!
