by Eliza Ferree

906661_money_series_1.jpgOver the weekend the kids and I found an article in the Kansas City Star, it was a contest and this is one that all kids can probably do. First, off has your child ever had money and it burned a hole in their pocket? I know mine has a few times over, heck, even I have. Am I right?

The only problem with today’s children is many of them don’t know how to http://www.parentingourchildren.com/teaching-kids-money-management/”>manage their money. Well this contest should at least give them an idea. I can’t wait to see the entries.

Contest:

Kids tell us your experiences with money.” Simple right? They must write 500 words that tell a story about a time that they had money and what they did. Did they spend the money or save it. What did they buy with it? Was the item worth it? Did they learn a lesson?

Prize: $100 US savings bond, runner up $50 US bond.
