A teen was shot in this past Friday have police asking who did it. Apparently the teen actually approached an ambulance to get help. No news on how the teen is doing.

Hit & Run, Police still Searching

This past Friday there was a hit & run in St.Joseph Missouri and the police are still looking for the driver. The driver struck 54 year-old, Douglas Hancock and killed him. The accident, errr, hit and run took place around 7:30 p.m. around South Sixth Street and US Highway 36.

His sister is sickened at the thought that someone would just drive by run him down and leave. She’s asking for any information.

Rancher Disappears, Leaving Ranch Behind

A Missouri Rancher disappeared in the middle of November, but that’s not going to stop his ranch from producing the top herd. They are still searching for David Cook but right now they’ve decided to sell the cattle. This ranch was known as top-producing herd for over 35 years, they now believe David was grabbed out of his home. The last thing the family knew was he was suppose to meet someone. His truck, wallet and everything else was left in the house…making it look like foul play. source

Kansas City’s Secret Santa Hits School

The Secret Santa has hit once again and this time he’s passing on his kindness at a Education Center, "DeLaSalle" to be exact. Santa arrived not only bearing candy canes but $50 to each student there. Over all he handed out 200 $50 bills, equally a whopping $10,000. WOW! Talk about a very giving Santa.

The original Secret Santa (Larry Stewart) revealed himself last year due to an illness, but before his death he asked a close friend if he’d take over for him. I say, he’d be very proud of the work the new Santa is doing.

Schools Open, Parents Mad

As many schools closed before school was even in session today, some decided not to have a snow day. But the one thing they did not figure into account would be how they’d get all these kids home. When the snow covered streets would become slicker and iced over by afternoon.

A bus driver knew she wouldn’t be able to safely drive the students home and left them all at school. However, not all parents were warned and one waited anxiously for her child to come home but after an hour she began to worry.

Carew said, "I called the school at that point. The school said they had my son, he’d been there the whole time. He was not allowed on the bus because the driver already knew she couldn’t make it."

How would you have felt? While it is a good thing that they didn’t want to risk the lives of these children, they never called all the parents.

Lees Summit Weather Forecast

As ya’ll know, it snowed a nice thick snow Tuesday throughout the day. Many schools were closed on Wednesday for their very first snow day, course this means children galore were outside on sleds, cardboard boxes and sledding down the hills. Some were making snow men while others were tossing snowballs.

While the temperatures only rose to a high of 32 it’ll be just about the same on Thursday, but the rest of the week should rise up to 45. Hopefully it’ll warm some of us up, but it won’t stay around for long. Keep warm.

Britney Spears is Coming to KC

Mark those calendars for next year because Britney Spears is coming to Kansas City’s very own Sprint Center. This will be part of her ‘come back" tour for "CIRCUS" which I’m guessing is going to be a very big hit.

Currently Britney Spears is set to appear out here on April 2 and you can buy tickets at $40 or for the more VIP section and deals $350-$550. The Pussycats are said to appear to, in fact they will be opening the show for her. Will you be there?

Shot Victim Drives Self to Hospital

A man that was shot over a basketball game, drives himself to the emergency room. The police believe the fight or beginning of it began at a basketball game down in Grandview. The shooting took place in a McDonald’s parking lot on Grandview Road, no other injuries were reported but some car damage. He’s expected to be fine.

Sexual Assualt in Power & light District

There’s been a ton of commotion down in the Power & Light district, mostly due to the dress code but today we hear that someone has reported a sexual assault.

It happened around 1 a.m. this morning, at Howl At the Moon Bar. Apparently an ambulance was called for a woman that had bruises, the news found out she’d been sexually assualted.

Investigators said the victim told them she was in the bar when a man allegedly took her into a bathroom stall and assaulted her.

Officers said they believe the man may have been an out-of-town visitor and may have taken a cab to a hotel afterward.

Hopefully they find the man that did this. They are currently looking at camera footage to try to figure out who he is.
