Mark those calendars for next year because Britney Spears is coming to Kansas City’s very own Sprint Center. This will be part of her ‘come back" tour for "CIRCUS" which I’m guessing is going to be a very big hit.

Currently Britney Spears is set to appear out here on April 2 and you can buy tickets at $40 or for the more VIP section and deals $350-$550.  The Pussycats are said to appear to, in fact they will be opening the show for her. Will you be there?

It happened around 1 a.m. this morning, at Howl At the Moon Bar. Apparently an ambulance was called for a woman that had bruises, the news found out she’d been sexually assualted. 

Investigators said the victim told them she was in the bar when a man allegedly took her into a bathroom stall and assaulted her.

Officers said they believe the man may have been an out-of-town visitor and may have taken a cab to a hotel afterward.

Hopefully they find the man that did this. They are currently looking at camera footage to try to figure out who he is.

Talk about a little boy with a big heart, this little guy decided to throw a birthday party for "Toys for Tots."  This 8 year old boy, Owen, decided (his mom decided) that he should donate all his birthday presents to toys for tots. The family invited family, friends and the marines to show up with their  party for Toys for Tots. Wal-mart even donated toys from their clearance aisle.

On Black Friday, aka November 27th, two people were hit by a car in front of a very packed Wal-mart. The shoppers that got hit were a man and a woman that appeared to be in their late 30s trying to catch some early bird deals. Neither one was hurt badly but they were both taken to the hospital.

The Lees Summit Bank robber that robbed, the First Community Bank this past Friday is still out on the loose. The man wore a green camouflage face mask, green hoodie and blue jeans. However he has yet to be identified and may get away scott-free.

Snow fell in Lees Summit briefly on November 29th, which some didn’t believe it would stick around. However, waking up November 30th children all over Lees Summit were venturing outside to make tiny snowmen and attempt at sliding down the hills on sleds. Not all parts got snow and many said it was nothing more than a light dusting, for my family it was a big deal.

This year marks our first winter here and we thought it was beautiful, but like all things this too must end. On December 1st, the clouds broke and you could spy blue sky behind them, the snow will melt and the day will go on with a crisp chill in the air. There is a possibility that it will snow again come Wednesday. Guess we shall see.  Did you get any snow?

The Kansas City Mayor, Mark Funkhouser, will be appearing on "Good Morning America" this morning. Why? It’ll be over the controversy that surrounds him right now…his wife. That’s right the national media has heard about the town, aka Kansas City, wanting Funkhouser’s wife, Gloria Squitiro, to leave the office.

A law was passed that no volunteer could work in City Hall if they had members there. Yes, this was geared more towards one individual but the law was passed and everyone should abide by it. Now, Mark did try to veto the law but that didn’t work.

They are speaking up now, they’ve worked together for many years and she’s not ready to sit at home.

Funkhouser called his wife his "personal assistant."

"We worked hand-in-glove, intensely for months, while campaigning for the job. What was I supposed to do after I got elected? Just dump her? Say, ‘See ya, honey?’" Funkhouser said.

"He’s more than capable of doing this job. I’m more than capable of sitting in my tiny little corner being out of the limelight, which I very much like to be — out of the limelight. This is not affecting anybody but us, really," Squitiro said. "He’s a working mayor. That’s all he can think about. If I wasn’t with him, doing this, we would lose everything in our family."
