Did you Hear the Sirens?

Yesterday afternoon I got to experience what it would sound like if there was ever a tornado in our city. I grew up in the desert, this rarely happened. Sure, we had our share of wind storms or dust devils but never something that would scoop up a house or throw a car inside a tree. I’d seen enough movies to know that a loud siren goes off, but never thought I’d hear one in real life.

This week Kansas and Missouri are doing statewide with Tornado safety and what to do in case one strikes. Yesterday everyone got to hear the sirens going off in town. As I stated at another blog, it sounded like a train blowing its horn with the window shut. However, if they are open there is no mistake. Stay safe everyone and learn the drill.
