Mark those calendars for next year because Britney Spears is coming to Kansas City’s very own Sprint Center. This will be part of her ‘come back" tour for "CIRCUS" which I’m guessing is going to be a very big hit.

Currently Britney Spears is set to appear out here on April 2 and you can buy tickets at $40 or for the more VIP section and deals $350-$550.  The Pussycats are said to appear to, in fact they will be opening the show for her. Will you be there?

Missing Missouri Teens Found Safe

Monday, October 27th, 2008

It isn’t often that I’ve reported a good outcome with an Amber Alert, so when I can I do it. Early this morning it was announced that the two missing Missouri teens, Paige and Levi, were found safe. They were actually spotted under an overpass in Council Bluffs, Iowa where they were cold and hungry.

Course I’m sure the first thing they got was warm blankets and food and hot chocolate. After that I bet an earful from mom and dad. Paige’s parents were thrilled to wrap her in their arms, course they would soon learn these two lived off the streets of Omaha Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa.

While Paige has been interviewed by the news/media, there hasn’t been much mention of Levi. Is he in more trouble? I do know that he was older out of the two.

Amber Alert: Two Teens

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

The KCTV news has been reporting since last night that an Amber Alert has been issued for two teens. Currently they have not been found, however there is a possible sighting down at a Wal-mart in the Aurora, Missouri area.

Christina Paige Alley is only 14 years old, she stands at 5′2′ with auburn hair.

Levi Samuel Carlson is 16 years old, 5′8′ and is 16, currently he’s upset about things going on in his life. Levi had an argument with his family Friday night before picking up Christina from a football game.

They would possibly be driving in a 4 door ‘96′ Toyota Avalon with license plate (Missouri) PD0 A5U

If you see either of these teens please call: 816 539 2156, lets bring these kids home safe and sound.

Safe Halloween for Missouri Kids

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

This year the children should be safe from sex offenders in their area, as long as the offenders actually abide by the law. A new law has come out and the offender MUST post a sign outside their home (on their door) stating, "No Candy Or Treats at this Residence."

Offenders are to stay indoors during the hours of 5-10 p.m. while trick or treating is going on and no lights on. Hopefully this will keep the children safe this Halloween season.

Kansas City Tornado Drill

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

tornadoToday at 1:30 p.m. you might hear a bunch of noise, it’ll be the local tornado drill. No, we aren’t actually having a tornado but they are doing a drill so that everyone knows what it sounds like and can plan for one. They are said to be doing this in the Kansas and Missouri area, so both states should hear it.

So where do you go in case of a tornado?

If you live in something unsturdy like a trailer or a mobile home, get out and run to the closest shelter. Schools in the area will be teaching the children what do to today, however if you are home you may want to practice as well. Go to a sturdy room and if you can hide under a desk or table, placing your arms above your head to protect your neck. (head down, hands covering back of your neck)

Do not hide by a window!

Last year, Kansas broke their record for the most tornadoes at 137, Missouri didn’t have as many but it still got hit pretty hard. Be prepared and be safe this tornado season.

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

906661_money_series_1.jpgOver the weekend the kids and I found an article in the Kansas City Star, it was a contest and this is one that all kids can probably do. First, off has your child ever had money and it burned a hole in their pocket? I know mine has a few times over, heck, even I have. Am I right?

The only problem with today’s children is many of them don’t know how to http://www.parentingourchildren.com/teaching-kids-money-management/”>manage their money. Well this contest should at least give them an idea. I can’t wait to see the entries.

President Visits Kansas City

Friday, February 1st, 2008

President Bush in Kansas City

If you plan on driving through Kansas City this morning, you may want to change your route, or leave a bit earlier. The president, George Bush, will be visiting many places throughout the day. He presented President’s Volunteer Service Award to Samuel Turner Sr., for his work on the American Heart Association.

Bad areas to be today: In the morning he’ll be signing a proclamation for American Heart Month and that’ll be around 8:30 a.m., a tour around 10:20 at Hallmark Cards Center, followed by a brief statement on the economy at 10:55 a.m. and around lunch he’ll be at a private residence to raise money for U.S. Rep. Sam Graves.

Find a different route if you don’t want to be late to work: Avoid Country Club Plaza and Crown Center and this afternoon expect delays around downtown and the Northland.
