Yesterday an 11 year old boy had just got off a school bus when a Ford Explorer came flying through and hit him. Witnesses are stating the car never hit his/her breaks not before hitting him or after. Police are looking for that vehicle now.

The little boy was thrown several feet and is still in the hospital this morning. Lets find this person, the vehicle description is below.

Missing Missouri Teens Found Safe

Monday, October 27th, 2008

It isn’t often that I’ve reported a good outcome with an Amber Alert, so when I can I do it. Early this morning it was announced that the two missing Missouri teens, Paige and Levi, were found safe. They were actually spotted under an overpass in Council Bluffs, Iowa where they were cold and hungry.

Course I’m sure the first thing they got was warm blankets and food and hot chocolate. After that I bet an earful from mom and dad. Paige’s parents were thrilled to wrap her in their arms, course they would soon learn these two lived off the streets of Omaha Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa.

While Paige has been interviewed by the news/media, there hasn’t been much mention of Levi. Is he in more trouble? I do know that he was older out of the two.

Amber Alert: Two Teens

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

The KCTV news has been reporting since last night that an Amber Alert has been issued for two teens. Currently they have not been found, however there is a possible sighting down at a Wal-mart in the Aurora, Missouri area.

Christina Paige Alley is only 14 years old, she stands at 5′2′ with auburn hair.

Levi Samuel Carlson is 16 years old, 5′8′ and is 16, currently he’s upset about things going on in his life. Levi had an argument with his family Friday night before picking up Christina from a football game.

They would possibly be driving in a 4 door ‘96′ Toyota Avalon with license plate (Missouri) PD0 A5U

If you see either of these teens please call: 816 539 2156, lets bring these kids home safe and sound.

Value Place Hotel Boots Family that Complains about Bed Bugs

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Imagine just moving to the area and finding yourself in a hotel that has bugs. Okay, well your first reaction is going to be to tell the manager right? WRONG, at least if you are staying at the Value Place Hotel.  An entire family (with kids) got booted after they saw bed bugs in their sheets at a hotel. Apparently they went to tell the hotel staff about the "bug" issue and were soon booted from the hotel. I guess this is one way to say we don’t like clean sheets.

For those wondering the hotel is off Highway 71, be careful if you plan on staying there. Expect bugs but don’t complain.

This mom noticed bumps all over her 13-year-old daughter and went to ask for another room. She really thought they would too, until they evicted them. EEEkk, can you imagine now being with your kids and no place to stay? The hotel didn’t even give them a refund, which she’d paid 2 weeks in advance.

A spokesperson for the hotel responded to the media:

"Bedbugs are the single biggest issue the lodging industry faces today. These situations are brought into hotels by people."

He added, "The best way that a property can deal with that matter is to isolate and eradicate that source from the property to protect the entire property. We followed the appropriate protocol."

So these people think it is okay to have bugs I guess. Not me, I think the best hotels are those that like to keep their places clean. Even if it means spending a bit more money to bleach things.

Safe Halloween for Missouri Kids

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

This year the children should be safe from sex offenders in their area, as long as the offenders actually abide by the law. A new law has come out and the offender MUST post a sign outside their home (on their door) stating, "No Candy Or Treats at this Residence."

Offenders are to stay indoors during the hours of 5-10 p.m. while trick or treating is going on and no lights on. Hopefully this will keep the children safe this Halloween season.

Shots Fired near KCK Middle School

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Not something you want to hear about but this is something the parents of Central Middle School had to hear about Tuesday afternoon when letters arrived with their children after school. Someone had actually fired shots near the school. It’s one thing to watch it in a movie, but when it strikes home it’s a whole other ball park. No one wants to worry their child is going to be shot while going to school.

The shooting took place near South 10th Street and Gilmore Avenue. As for whether any of the kids got hurt, the answer is no, however children were standing outside when the shooting took place. Any bullet that strayed could’ve hit one of them.

As of right now, no one has been identified as the shooter.

Kansas City’s Per Diem Rates

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Someone emailed asking about Kansas City’s per diem rates, so here they are:

Lodging runs around $70 and meals is just about $40 course this is a big change compared to what it was in 2006. Meals stayed the same but lodging has went up $10 more, even with all the hotels in the area.

Hope this answers the question, the email was very vague on what all you wanted to know.
